How to Bid

external-file_edited.jpg

First Time Bidders:

Bidders with our gallery must register for each featured auction on our platform prior to the date & time of auction event. It is recommended that Bidders register 24-48 hours prior to auction going live to ensure all information is correct and confirmation is received.

LLG’s curated collections are offered for first-time sale exclusively on the BidSquare platform available here: https://www.bidsquare.com/auction-house/larry-london-galleria

Timed & Live Auctions:

All Timed & Live Auctions are conducted exclusively on the BidSquare platform accessed through the link above. The buyer’s premium for bidding on the BidSquare platform is 20% and by registering to bid at any auction offered by LLG on the BidSquare platform, bidder agrees to all Terms & Conditions of Sale.

Timed Auction: Catalogue of sale items begins on a specific date and time and runs for a duration of 7 -14 days. Each item (Lot) is offered for sale sequentially in the order it is presented in the catalogue. During the auction, any item that receives a bid within the last 5 minutes of the item’s close, will extend bidding time for an additional 10-minutes (this is known as a soft close). This feature allows bidders a ‘second chance’ opportunity to raise their bids, or increase their maximum bids, without fear of losing their potential to win an item of interest.

At any time prior, and during the auction, Registered Bidders may:

  • Place bids at any time up to the close of auction.

  • Set a ‘Maximum Bid’ for each item they are interested in (platform will automatically bid on your behalf according to the bidding increments established for the auction).

  • Follow and track items of interest

  • Schedule a reminder and receive a text when your item is coming-up for auction and is less than 10 lots from being sold.

Live Auction: Catalogue of sale items begins on a specific date and time and runs until the auction closes. Duration can range between 2 hours – 6 hours depending on size of auction and number of bidders.  Each item (Lot) is offered for sale sequentially in the order it is presented in the catalogue. Unlike Timed Auctions that are guided automatically by the BidSquare platform, Live Auctions are conducted by a physical auctioneer in real-time. Auctioneer will determine speed of bidding and recognize bids from participants by Phone, Absentee Bid, In-person, and through BidSquare.com.

There is NO ‘Soft Close’ as in timed auctions, and auctioneer will provide adequate notice and ‘Fair Warning’ a lot is about to close and final hammer price is about to be recognized. Once hammer falls, lot closes for bidding.
